My history as a developer goes back to my first computer, a TRS-80 sometime in the late 1970’s on which I developed simulation and analysis software. I count 15 years of experience as a developer working in a large variety of languages and platforms. Initially my career led me to Netware Engineering, and I have held various certifications from Novell, Microsoft and 3Com including CNE, MCSE+I and 3-Com 3 Wizard Technologist level. As a consultant and software engineer I have worked with many different industries including manufacturing (Allied Signal Aerospace) health care (Phoenix Children’s Hospital) and timeshare (Consolidated Resorts).
I have worked extensively in many forms of basic, C, C++, VB and most recently C#. I have been working with databases in one capacity or another for the majority of my career, and I am familiar with a wide array of platforms including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, GuptaSQL and Microsoft Access.
In additional to application development I have been responsible for system maintenance, database migration, database administration, server administration and installation. While I have the capacity to wear the many hats as needed, I prefer development work as it allows me to express my creativity and put my heart into my product.
On the right project, nothing is more satisfying and downright fun than programming. When not programming I enjoy Sci-Fi (in all forms) classic rock, blues and playing guitar.
